Designing a new operating model to enable more sustainable governance of three subsidiary companies

Designing a new operating model to enable more sustainable governance of three subsidiary companies.

As a relatively new entity, this organisation was providing overarching governance for three separate subsidiary companies in the community services sector. The model had become unsustainable due to the differences in practices, size and maturity of the companies and subsequently it was exposing the Board to risk.

Levant was engaged to review the governance structure, corporate structures and operating models to recommend an effective and suitable operating model for the future.

Levant worked with the Board and a working group to understand how things were currently operating and to design three future state operating model options for consideration. Following an assessment of the options against a set of design principles, Levant recommended a new operating model which would reduce risk, enable more efficient use of resources and provide a foundation for future growth, which the Board subsequently endorsed.

A 10-week engagement to facilitate a process to review the current state, design and assess operating model options and prepare a transition plan.
